The range of mineral ochres, mineral pigments and earth pigments reflects the full richness of natural earth and oxide shades to be found in the subsurface.

Seeking to impress upon potential stakeholders in this new eco-friendly process that the industrial formulation involves a precise dosing of potato starch, corn starch, earth and water, A3DC & IQAP created the initial biobatch collection of 12 natural shades, the names of which are inspired by the colours of 12 minerals, rocks and stones, suggestive of both colour and their mineral origin.

Chalk White, Silex Grey, Red Oxide or Comblanchien Yellow - a compact beige limestone of comparable hardness to marble - the range of colours constitutes a geographical exploration of rocks and stones. This journey from mineralogy to colour and back has inspired the names given to these shades, with their durable and sustainable overtones, as a solid foundation for this range of revolutionary plastics.
